Angela Murray, M.Ed., LPCA, TCADC

Angie is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate and the Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program Director for The Oaks. She obtained a Master’s of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College with a specialization in Mental Health.
She has over 8 years of experience in mental health and substance use disorder counseling in various treatment settings including community mental health and private practice. She has treated clients of all ages, but her passion is the treatment of adults with severe mental illness. She believes in an eclectic approach which allows her to utilize and blend various therapy modalities to best meet the client’s needs.
Angie is known for her unyielding positive regard for her clients, her ability to help clients feel accepted and understood, and her ability to “think outside the box” to tailor therapy to individuals and groups in an engaging, motivating, and fun way. Clients often report how much their lives have improved since becoming involved in our Therapeutic Rehabilitation Program. We frequently see clients who report that they had almost given up on themselves find purpose, belief in themselves, and a passion for life again through Therapeutic Rehabilitation!
“I am dedicated to treating individuals diagnosed with a severe mental illness live a more satisfying and fulfilling life My goal is to meet the client where they are in life, build upon their strengths and reduce negative symptoms. My approach to therapy would best be described as integrative. Being able to pull from a variety of therapeutic approaches and incorporate various techniques allows me to meet the needs of each individual client.”
