The Oaks was my anchor when the storm of my life took me by surprise. Without warning, life as I knew it was forever changed for myself and three children. I found myself in need of help, compassion, and to be heard. I was met with a group of caring and knowledgeable professionals who worked together with me to strengthen my coping skills and manage my new way of living. Therapy & Medication Management has helped me to embrace my new life and the new me that has emerged from what would have destroyed me if I had not found The Oaks.
When I decided to go to The Oaks, I was at the brink of giving up. I had suffered through the death of several loved ones, an abusive relationship, and dealing with a high goal oriented job, which pushed me beyond my limits. At that time, I knew that I needed help. I was suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and a mild form of agoraphobia. The staff at The Oaks made me feel like I was being heard for the first time and helped me realize who I was and what I was capable of doing with my life. They never let me give up on myself! I now have a new relationship, a new career, and I’m loving my new life after recovery.
