If you’re ready to begin your healing journey but aren’t sure where to start, I’m here to help you navigate your options and find the support that best meets your needs.
Hi, I’m Leah Hammer, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Intake & Clinical Services Coordinator at The Oaks Behavioral Health. My goal is to make seeking mental health care feel approachable by helping you understand your needs, explore available services, and connect you with the provider who is the best fit for your unique goals and circumstances. As the Intake & Clinical Services Coordinator, I complete comprehensive intake assessments, discuss the behavioral health services we offer, and work closely with each individual to ensure they are matched with the therapist who can best support their journey. I understand that reaching out for help can be overwhelming, and I strive to create a welcoming, supportive experience from the very first conversation.
In my clinical practice, I primarily work with adults and have a special interest in treating trauma and supporting individuals who wish to incorporate their Christian faith into the therapeutic process. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling and Human Development and have received specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). My therapeutic approach is individualized and draws from evidence-based modalities, including
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and faith-based counseling when it aligns with a client’s values and preferences. I believe meaningful healing happens within a collaborative therapeutic relationship built on trust, authenticity, and hope. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to process life’s challenges, build resilience, and develop practical skills that support lasting emotional well-being.
You deserve support. You deserve to feel better. I’d love to start that process with you.
