Leah is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor providing mental health counseling to adults suffering from trauma, anxiety, and depression. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Human Services and Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in 2018. She then decided to pursue her Masters degree and returned to Lindsey Wilson College School of Professional Counseling where she completed their Counseling and Human Development program in 2021.
Leah’s experience includes a variation of populations as well as settings. She worked in the homes with families providing early childhood education before moving to community mental health where she worked as a targeted case manager for both children and adults. Utilizing that experience in her work as a therapist, she promotes the importance of building support and having a treatment team to achieve therapeutic goals. Leah primarily practices from a mix of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and client-centered approaches. She enjoys working with clients to better understand how childhood and other life experiences can affect personalities, the way information is processed, and how relationships are built with others; all while utilizing their strengths and empowering them to build the confidence needed to overcome obstacles and have successful treatment outcomes. Leah is also trained in the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing technique, which works as an asset in treating trauma and other stress and anxiety related disorders.
