Hi, I’m Christy Owens, Billing Coordinator here at The Oaks. My work happens mostly out of sight, but it’s not just paperwork to me. It’s part of making sure your care continues without interruption, so nothing stands between you and the support you need.
I bring a deep well of experience in care focused work to this role, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and advanced certifications in Family and Marriage Therapy, Domestic Violence and Intervention Therapy, and Temperament Therapy. I also spent 24 years teaching high school, a role that allowed me to invest in and encourage young people throughout an important season of their lives. As a wife of over 35 years, mother of four, and grandmother of fourteen, caring for people has simply been part of who I am for a long time, and I bring that same heart into every claim I process and every detail I coordinate.
