Sophia Baumgarten, M.Ed, LPCA

Mental Health Therapist

If anxiety, depression, a major life change, or a relationship struggle has left you needing  a safe place to sort through it, I’m here for you.

Hi, I’m Sophie Baumgarten. My mission is simple: to be a compassionate, supportive ear for you, so you have a genuinely safe space to heal. I meet clients exactly where they are, with unconditional positive regard, and we work together toward the growth and change you’re looking for.

I bring experience from private practice and therapeutic foster care, working with people across the lifespan, though I especially enjoy walking alongside young and older adults. I’ve supported people through anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship difficulties, trauma, and boundary setting. My background in Public Health also shapes how I approach our work together — I look at your mental health as part of your whole picture, not separate from your physical health, relationships, and daily life, because real, lasting change usually comes from understanding the whole person. I draw on cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered approaches, and other evidence-based methods, always adapting to what will actually help you reach your goals.

You deserve a space where you’re accepted exactly as you are. I look forward to working  with you.

“My mission is to be a compassionate and supportive listening ear for my clients in order to create a safe environment for healing. I wish to meet clients where they are with unconditional positive regard in order to work collaboratively together to promote self-acceptance, growth, and change. A quote that guides me in my therapeutic process is, ‘when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
